The tawa is made of iron metal. It is seasoned to perfection and ready to use. Food cooked on iron utensils contains trace amounts of iron in it.
Seasoning procedure involves cleaning of the tawa once received. Then it is dried. With a cloth cooking oil is applied all over the cooking surface. The tawa is then allowed to sit in the sun for 5 to 6 hours before it is oiled again. The process continues for two weeks to obtain a well-seasoned tawa.
An instruction card will be sent along with the product with information regarding cleaning and maintenance of the product.
