How do you make your Kal Dosas? Just like its name, we suggest that you try to make Kal Dosas on an actual Kal Tawa aka Soapstone Tawa. Heat spreads evenly in a Soapstone Dosa Tawa, enabling you to soft and spongy Kal dosais and Ootappams in plenty. with the stove kept in medium heat. Unlike the Cast Iron Dosa Tawa, one cannot make crispy Dosais in this Kal.
Each of our Soapstone Dosa Tawa is made manually by our rural artisans. The artisans first scout select locations in the Eastern Ghats of Tamil Nadu for the finest Soapstone. This is then brought to their workshop and here on, the creation begins. After The Soapstone Dosa Tawa reaches our unit, it is seasoned for weeks at a stretch using organic Castor oil, turmeric, rice water, and organic Sesame oil just so that you can put it to use immediately on purchase.
